They offer nothing but slogans; endlessly play the blame and shame game; misdiagnose the real roots to our economic and education issues; and prescribe potions that poison. There Are Better Ways to Brighter Days! We have done our homework and are on a mission. These issues are personal to us. We’ve seen too many kids fail in school, and too many families struggle to make ends meet. Success is the only solution! Squeezing a ballon doesn't work. It just moves a problem. Good intentions and best efforts can't make up for doing the wrong things. It wastes time, energy, money...and destroys hope. We are out to share a better diagnosis and a serious game plan to help All Americans win. We contend that we are being PIMPED by today's politicians, professors and pundits. Most so-called experts continue to completely misdiagnose the real roots to our chronic concerns. The good news is that you don't have to be an economist to understand the facts - when they are presented objectively, through the right lens. Like you, I am simply a concerned - perhaps quixotic - citizen who never wanted to get involved in anything political, write a book, or speak on the issues.
I figured a life skills and basketball camp would be my way of paying it forward. That changed when: our local school district completely failed (academically and fiscally); our city government went bankrupt; and the Great Recession foreclosed a third of the homes in our community. If that were not enough, despite living in what most consider a Bay Area suburb, nine teens we've known have been shot by other teens, with one tremendous young man, sadly even killed. |

If it looked like the politicos had real solutions, I would have minded my own business. Unfortunately, I kept seeing stories in the news where the headline and the narrative did not match the data in the very same article. Some call this Fake News...it is at least a misdiagnosis of the symptoms...with cancerous consequences. I wrote a couple letters to editors, attempting to get them to amend the errors. A few were published, most were not. As I saw more and more discrepancies, I felt obligated to share the truth (through my books and events like this) with as many Americans as would listen.
Okay, why me? I am not blessed with any superpower, but I do have unique training that helps people solve tough problems. By day I am a high-tech engineer and executive. This helps, but solving chronic problems (like poverty) requires a different set of diagnostic tools than most of us are taught in school. These skills are not difficult to grasp, but they reveal hidden truths in data critical to proper prescription. I got to build these skills when my employer gave me the chance to study with some of the world's greatest problem solvers, doctors Deming, Juran and Covey. This unique background helped our company impact many seemingly insurmountable problems, including reducing the failure rate of our largest product line to 1/20th previous levels.
I know our nation's challenges aren't mere business problems, but they are systemic problems better diagnosed, and then remedied, through the application of these methodologies. I have analyzed these problems using these tools. I am convinced it's possible to cut poverty rates in half, achieve the goals of No Child Left Behind, and enable an economy where All Americans have a real shot to Live the Dream...but only if we stop listening to the failed advice of quacks.

I have spent years working to understand these problems and have tried to articulate all I have learned in my books. Our Deep Dives are part of our efforts to launch a movement...focused on tackling our country's economic, education - and to the extent they overlap - our race and leadership concerns.
I am hosting Pimping The Poor - Live to make it faster and easier for you to fully comprehend these perspectives. Attendees will learn how we are being PIMPED by both sides of the aisle on the issues of Poverty, Inequality, the shrinking Middle, Pay, Education and the so-called dying Dream. We will dig deep into the debates of how to create abundant prosperity for all. We will discuss the effects of government size, taxation, redistribution and calls for a new economic system. We will take you through an eye-opening analysis, discuss the implications of different proposals, to provide greater clarity. In the end we will offer a logical, new framework for tackling these problems, so All Americans can Live The Dream! |

I think you will find, as I have, that this knowledge reveals the things we need to focus on to finally attack these problems. I believe you will walk away feeling empowered, because the challenge while large, will no longer seem insurmountable. The solution set is small and manageable. If we can start concentrating efforts on the right things, we can impact everything.

A Deep Dive Into Our Economic & Education Issues Saturday November 16th 9am to 4pm PST Via Zoom The Zoom Room Will Open At 8:45am PST This Event Will Be Recorded, so that it can be shared.
Zoom participants will be required to sign a Media Release. If you prefer to simply watch and not be recorded, the session will be broadcast simultaneously on X and YouTube. Those who participate in the recorded event will be asked to take an (optional) online before-after video quiz on the issues. Excerpts will be included in the finished docuseries. Those who participated in our earlier dry run, said it was great to be heard, and the experience extremely EDUtaining.
Filmed participants will be credited for their contribution as a concerned citizen. This is a completely voluntary event. We want people from all backgrounds and perspectives. We want unsolicited, honest answers and heartfelt opinions. This will be an engaging, at times, passionate conversation...amongst good citizens, with all kinds of beliefs, experiences and situations. Please invite a few friends with different views. You will have much to talk about afterwards. Note: We want to hear you out, but we will stop people from dominating the conversation. Anyone that crosses the line will be asked to stop and/or be dropped off the meeting. We believe all will find this long overdue conversation refreshing. It is sure to challenge perspectives.
