The Bad to Best Challenge is focused on informing people about what K12 school reforms, or models, maximize student academic achievement, so every teen that wishes to attend college is fully prepared to do so. This session is upending for the vast majority of parents (and educators). Our nation is failing to revolutionize results, largely because myths, misinformation, and misunderstandings still prevail. We hope to change this so parents and community members can mobilize with a plan to make a real difference.
To some educators, this event may seem divisive. We think it is a chance for alignment directed toward improvement. Our experience tells us that these changes result in unparalleled student success and teacher satisfaction. Note: WE ARE NOT intending to discuss the curriculum and culture concerns of the day. There are enough people talking about this. We are focused on making sure all students master the fundamentals (reading, writing, math, science). |

About Coach Cary
By day, Dave is a high-tech robotics executive and engineer who has helped companies develop some of the world's most amazing products and complete incredible projects. He is a trained problem solver. He thought a local life-skills and basketball camp would be his way of paying it forward. That changed when his local school district completely failed (academically and fiscally), his city government went bankrupt, and almost a dozen young men he knew got shot, in separate incidents, with one great kid, sadly even killed.
